Ardena Joy "AJ" is an American Writer, Activist, award winning Entertainer and former elected official who has dedicated her life to serving others. Ardena believes that every human being has a unique perspective that can benefit the collective national conscience and that, as many great leaders have taught, that starts with honest, open dialogue. Ardena has never felt the need to ask for permission to have her voice heard and believes that it is not only our right as citizens to voice concerns but also our duty as Americans. She believes that each invaluable perspective and idea gets us all closer to answering the questions that humanity is collectively seeking.

I enjoyed reading the story of Ardena's journey, thus far. She has been a survivor, intellectual, music performer, social activist ...and ...I have a feeling ...there's much more to come!

Riveting and extremely captivating! Not only is it well written... it provides you with vivid details of her journey... almost as if you were there. Highly recommended.
I really didn't know what to expect but this book surpassed possible expectations! She shines light on what we need to do to make the world a better place, and told a great life story at the same time. I recommend this book for any and everyone!
Ardena's reflections on her own young life and experiences serve as a beautiful reminder that the things that are most valuable and beautiful in our lives dwell within ourselves and that we are all able to access them whenever we want if we choose to do it. I (also) CHOOSE JOY!
A wonderful journey that Journey that challenged me to think about how important each and every person is. This book will stir up a hope in you and I would recommend this book to anyone who desires encouragement and those who would like to give encouragement to others.
It is always good to hear the story of a person to gain the why in people and what makes them who they have become. What I appreciate about Ardena's story is that her convictions determined her choices. This book tells anyone no matter where they are from that you still have the right to choose. When you read this book you will find out, "Can I choose JOY"
